Museum

Discover the fascinating past of Epsom & Ewell at the Museum at Bourne Hall.

Based in the futuristic building of Bourne Hall, our free museum allows you to come face to face with the local past in a variety of interactive and engaging ways.

With exhibits ranging from prehistoric times to the modern day, our permanent displays and regular exhibitions illustrate every aspect of local life and have something to interest all members of the family.

The Museum charts the Borough's history through its, fine art, costume, archaeology and social history. Highlights of our collection include Prime Minister Rosebery’s hansom cab, a 19th century fire engine, extensive Derby memorabilia and significant Roman archaeology from local sites.

The museum shop offers a wide collection of local history books and pamphlets along with a range of souvenirs to capture the imagination of our younger visitors.

The museum offers a wide range of popular, free educational services to both schools and home-educating groups within the Borough. These include loan boxes, talks and guided walks. For more information on any of these services please see our brochure.
